Dostek DNC Software

Dostek's popular DNC software for Windows computers is known for ease of use and support for a broad range of machine controls. It is used to transfer part programs and other data between computers and machine controls with RS-232C serial communication ports.

Dostek 440A Behind-the-Tape Reader (BTR)

Dostek's BTR interface provides an RS-232C serial communication retrofit for machine controls equipped with a punched tape reader. It lets you connect older machines to a modern computer network.

The BTR emulates tape readers from most vendors including Fanuc, Remex, EECO, Decitek, Sanyo Denki, Cincinnati Milacron, General Electric, Toshiba, Ghielmetti, Ricom and GNT.

Depending on the machine control, you can use the 440A BTR to:

• Run programs directly from a computer (drip feed).
• Load and save programs between a computer and the machine control's memory storage.
• Load the machine control's executive software tapes directly from a computer.

Dostek no longer produces the 440A BTR, but continues to provide service, support and repairs. Refurbished models are available for purchase.
